Easy 30 mins Jollof Rice

Jollof means “one pot” it originated from the wolof empire in Senegambian region of Africa. Jollof is a household and party staple in a lot of west African countries.

What you'll need:

-Large sauce pan with lead

-Conventional Oven



3 cups of Basmati Rice

2 cups of Esther’s Ready Stew

14 oz Chicken broth

1 tablespoon of Jollof rice seasoning

1 teaspoon of Lion curry powder

2 seasoning Chicken Knorr cubes

1/2 cup of vegetable oil


1. Preheat oven to 400 C

2. Combine all the ingredients in a oven safe sauce pan.

3. Add two cups of water. Stir well, cover saucepan will foil paper and put the lid on.

4. Cook for 30 mins

5. Stir with wooden spatula once done and serve with baked chicken or your preferred protein.
